About me
Hi! I'm the CEO at Rachel's Challenge, the most extensive multi-tier violence prevention, anti-bullying, anti-youth suicide program in the world. We were founded by the family of Columbine victim, Rachel Scott. Across 27 years, we've worked in 20K+ schools nationally, preventing 9 school shootings as corroborated by law enforcement and hundreds of youth suicides each year. We're a very effective anti-bullying program, but we're not anti-anyone or anything in our approach. We're pro-kindness, compassion, and empathy as a part of their school culture. We're honored to be peer reviewers on the DOH/DOJ/DOE/HHS-led initiative to update federal guidance nationally on school safety in 2026. Let's talk about positive school culture, how AI and algorithms are changing young people's brains, how school safety starts with the minds and hearts of young people, and what to do about it.
