SUMMARY:Keynote
DESCRIPTION:AI cannot replace teachers or the human elements of learning\, but it can help redesign classroom workflows so students take a more active role in thinking\, decision-making\, and sense-making. In this keynote\, Dr. Catlin Tucker explores how AI can support a shift toward student-led learning by reducing the burden of information transfer and freeing teachers to focus on what humans do best: building relationships\, facilitating learning\, and responding to students in real time. Dr. Tucker highlights how AI can support accessible learning experiences\, flexible pathways\, and meaningful choices that invite deeper engagement with content and peers. She shares workflow shifts and student-led strategies that position learners to discover\, reflect\, and improve their work over time\, while developing the skills needed to use AI strategically and responsibly.

SUMMARY:Leading through Social Media and the Youth Mental Health Crisis
DESCRIPTION:Social media has reshaped school culture in ways far beyond phones in classrooms. From group chats and gaming platforms to video sharing and messaging apps\, online interactions now drive peer relationships\, conflict\, mistrust\, and administrative burden that spill into schools every day. In response\, many systems have defaulted to safety-driven\, restrictive measures such as phone bans and compliance-based media literacy mandates\, often without the resources\, research\, or capacity to support meaningful change. This session examines how engagement technology has cultivated a culture of fear\, reactivity\, and safetyism that strains staff\, students\, and leadership. Participants will explore how social media and device use have fundamentally altered attention\, behavior\, and social dynamics before students even enter school buildings\, compounding challenges around learning and belonging. Designed for school and district leaders\, this session uses a systems-thinking lens to move beyond checklists and punitive responses toward sustainable\, community-responsive approaches. Participants will examine where schools are overinvesting in ineffective solutions\, how legal and operational pressures shape decision-making\, and what it means to lead with education and capacity-building rather than control. The session focuses on reshaping both online and offline school environments to restore trust\, connection\, and learning.

SUMMARY:Modern & Inclusive Classrooms
DESCRIPTION:How can science and chemistry classrooms better support all learners while maintaining rigor\, engagement\, and equity? This breakout session introduces educators to the Modern Classrooms Project (MCP) model and demonstrates how its core components\, blended instruction\, self-pacing\, and mastery-based assessment\, can transform science classrooms and any other classroom into inclusive\, student-centered learning environments. Participants will explore how Modern Classrooms strategies support diverse learners\, including students with IEPs\, English language learners\, advanced students\, and those who need additional time or structure to succeed. The session will focus on practical applications in chemistry and science-based courses\, including content delivery\, lab work\, assessments\, and classroom management. These strategies can then be applied to any content and grade level. The Modern Classrooms model empowers students to take ownership of their learning while receiving targeted\, timely support from teachers. By removing one-size-fits-all pacing and embracing mastery-based learning\, this approach supports academic growth\, builds confidence\, and ensures that all students\, regardless of ability level\, can succeed in rigorous science classrooms. Educators will leave with actionable strategies\, classroom examples\, and ready-to-use tools that can be implemented immediately to improve student engagement\, independence\, and academic success. Intended Audience: K–12 Science and Chemistry Teachers\, Instructional Coaches\, Special Education Teachers\, Administrators\, Educators interested in Universal Design for Learning\, MTSS\, or student-centered instruction (No prior experience with Modern Classrooms is required.)

SUMMARY:They're Not Like Us: Find Balance Between Student Needs and Staff Well-Being
DESCRIPTION:Just like Kendrick Lamar challenges the status quo with bold honesty and rhythm\, this session explores the real life remix of education where educators pour into students every day while working to keep their own cups full. In today's classrooms\, students bring diverse ways of learning\, behaving\, and processing the world. The challenge is not simply meeting those needs. It is doing so while maintaining our own balance\, boundaries\, and well being.\n\nThrough relatable scenarios\, reflective moments\, and practical strategies\, participants will explore how to truly see and serve students who are not "like us" while protecting their own rhythm and sustainability as educators. This session blends empathy\, executive functioning insights\, and restorative reflection to help educators reframe differences as strengths\, recognize the signs of compassion fatigue\, and create boundaries that support both student success and personal well being.\n\nParticipants will leave re centered\, re energized\, and equipped with tools to balance compassion with accountability so they can continue to lead and teach.&nbsp\;

SUMMARY:They're Not Like Us: Find Balance Between Student Needs and Staff Well-Being
DESCRIPTION:Just like Kendrick Lamar challenges the status quo with bold honesty and rhythm\, this session explores the real life remix of education where educators pour into students every day while working to keep their own cups full. In today's classrooms\, students bring diverse ways of learning\, behaving\, and processing the world. The challenge is not simply meeting those needs. It is doing so while maintaining our own balance\, boundaries\, and well being.\n\nThrough relatable scenarios\, reflective moments\, and practical strategies\, participants will explore how to truly see and serve students who are not "like us" while protecting their own rhythm and sustainability as educators. This session blends empathy\, executive functioning insights\, and restorative reflection to help educators reframe differences as strengths\, recognize the signs of compassion fatigue\, and create boundaries that support both student success and personal well being.\n\nParticipants will leave re centered\, re energized\, and equipped with tools to balance compassion with accountability so they can continue to lead and teach.&nbsp\;

SUMMARY:Metacognition: Building Students' Capacity for Deeper Learning
DESCRIPTION:Teachers cannot be the only ones doing the cognitive heavy lifting in the classroom. For learning to stick and transfer\, students must actively think about\, monitor\, and reflect on their own learning. Metacognition helps students make sense of what they are learning\, recognize when they are stuck\, and choose strategies that move them forward. This session focuses on practical strategies teachers can use to intentionally build students’ metacognitive skills. Participants will explore routines\, prompts\, and structures that help students plan\, monitor progress\, evaluate their work\, and reflect on their learning across content areas. When metacognition is embedded into daily instruction\, students become more strategic\, flexible\, and resilient learners who are better prepared to take shared ownership of their learning.

SUMMARY:They're Not Like Us: Find Balance Between Student Needs and Staff Well-Being
DESCRIPTION:Just like Kendrick Lamar challenges the status quo with bold honesty and rhythm\, this session explores the real life remix of education where educators pour into students every day while working to keep their own cups full. In today's classrooms\, students bring diverse ways of learning\, behaving\, and processing the world. The challenge is not simply meeting those needs. It is doing so while maintaining our own balance\, boundaries\, and well being.\n\nThrough relatable scenarios\, reflective moments\, and practical strategies\, participants will explore how to truly see and serve students who are not "like us" while protecting their own rhythm and sustainability as educators. This session blends empathy\, executive functioning insights\, and restorative reflection to help educators reframe differences as strengths\, recognize the signs of compassion fatigue\, and create boundaries that support both student success and personal well being.\n\nParticipants will leave re centered\, re energized\, and equipped with tools to balance compassion with accountability so they can continue to lead and teach.&nbsp\;
